A note on admission to Class I - 2013 – 14

Admission process for Class I under the general quota has been completed in January and the School awaits Government guidelines for the procedure under RTE.


Admission to Class XI- 2013-14

Application forms for admission to Class XI of the 2 year ISC programme 2013-15 is being issued at the School office. It may be procured in person on any working day between July 15, 2012 till October February 14 ( 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. ) against payment of Rs.1000 by Cash or a Demand Draft drawn in favour of `KFI-The Valley School, Bangalore’. It could also be sought by Post by sending a request and a DD. Alternately, the application form may be downloaded from the website and submitted along with the DD. Completed application forms should reach the School on or before February 15, 2013. Together with the application form, copies of the previous term’s examination results and reference forms from 2 teachers will have to be submitted.

Interaction meetings will take place on 29th and 30th March and individual letters to candidates are being sent regarding the interaction meetings. . Both parents along with the student will be required to participate in this process. A non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 2500 is payable at the time of these meetings. The meeting would be spread over two sessions – including an eligibility assessment test for the subjects that the student wishes to chooses and a discussion session regarding suitability and compatibility together with the parents. The school will intimate the decision about admission within a week after these meetings.

Admission offer made is provisional and is subject to the student passing the ICSE or its equivalent examination as recognized by the CISCE.

The student in take is low and preference is given to those who are prepared to understand freedom and responsibility together and not use it as a convenient license. Students who have studied in the Valley School will be given preference.

Since the number of places available for students from other institutions is low, the School will give preference to those who opt to stay in the Hostel. Please note that the chances of inviting those who wish to be day scholars for the interaction meetings is remote.

Admission to other classes- 2013-14

There are no standard procedures for admission to classes other than Class I and XI. Admissions are considered only if vacancies arise and this is determined by the end of the term ( Feb / March ). However those desirous of exploring possibilities may submit a registration form and the school will get in touch should there be a possibility of admission.
